Vitex CEO Dr Aniss Chami Supports The University of Notre Dame Scholarship Program, Providing Opportunities to the Next Generation

October 22, 2019

SYDNEY, 22 October 2019 – The University of Notre Dame, Australia, is offering a scholarship in the name of Dr Aniss Chami Scholarship – Vitex Pharmaceutical’s CEO and Co-Founder – which is to be applied to the School of Medicine in Sydney.

This is a tremendous honour for Dr Chami, particularly since he himself has dedicated a large amount of time into his own personal education; one of the main aspects to his leading entrepreneurial success. Dr Chami embraces the idea of being able to give back the opportunity to future generations and ensure students can have the same prospects as he had.

Dr Chami graduated from Macquarie University completing his Bachelor of Medical Science with Honours (B Med Sci) (Hon). He went on to complete his Master of Pharmacy (M Pharm) at the University of Sydney, before completing his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at the prestigious Sydney School of Medicine, University of Notre Dame. Dr Chami also holds a Master’s Degree in Financial Management (MFM) and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) at the world-ranking Macquarie Graduate School of Management.

With a remarkable list of credentials, Dr Chami is also one of the youngest CEOs in the industry. Unequivocally, however, he is considered as one of the most experienced – having been immersed in the industry at an early age under the tutelage of his father, Vitex Chairman, Elie Chami. He was winner of the prestigious ‘Manufacturing Executive of the Year Award’ by CEO Magazine in 2017 and 2018.

The purpose of this Scholarship is to offer a student from Lebanon the opportunity to commence studies as part of the International Medical Student Program with the School of Medicine at The University of Notre Dame, Sydney. Full tuition will be covered for the entire study period of four years.

Applications are currently being accepted and eligible students must meet certain qualifications, with further detailed information provided on the following link:
